Menorca is the most Eastern located island of the Balearic Islands, declared Biosphere Reserve in 1993. The secluded beaches with crystalline waters and the relaxed pace of life turn it into the ideal place to spend quiet days of rest. Surrounded by the “Camí de Cavalls” which runs across the island along its coast, Menorca offers us the chance to discover surprising corners through its roads. Witness of the passage of numerous civilizations, Menorca retains lots of constructions made by their ancestors, from the megalithic and prehistoric monuments to military fortifications, and Roman, early Christian and Islamic remains. Throughout the summer the “fiestas” are held in the different towns of the island, where the local breed horse is the real protagonist.
