Unsurprisingly, the Port of Mahon has had many suitors over the course of its history. Its beauty, strategic position and access to the current capital city of a beautiful Mediterranean island have made it irresistible. It is home to genuine architectural treasures: English style buildings, from the time when Menorca was a British territory; typical Minorcan style summer houses; the striking fortress of la Mola or the two islands that can be found inside the harbour, Isla del Rey and Lazareto island. It is the second largest natural port in the world and the largest in Europe.
The old town of Mahon is a short walk away from the Port of Mahon, it sits on top of a 30 metre cliff and it has great historical value. Located between the town and the harbour you’ll find Seth Port Mahón, a front-line spectator of life on the docks. It’s one of the oldest hotels of the town, with 82 bedrooms and a splendid terrace-restaurant and a wonderful view of the Port. Welcome to Seth Port Mahón
